Snap-8

Acetyl octapeptide-3 · expression-line softening (topical cosmetic)

Needle-free line-softening. Snap-8 is the topical "Botox alternative" that relaxes the tiny muscle movements etching forehead lines and crow's-feet.

What it is

Snap-8 is "Botox in a bottle" — the topical kind. It's an extended cousin of Argireline that gently relaxes the tiny muscle contractions that etch expression lines over time, so it's used in leave-on skincare for the forehead and crow's-feet. No needles, no downtime.

The results are gradual and maintenance-dependent: smoothing builds over roughly four to eight weeks of twice-daily use and fades within days of stopping, because it's a mild, reversible surface-level peptide rather than an injection. Be a little skeptical of the eye-popping percentages you'll see online — those come from ingredient-maker testing. Real-world results are a genuine but modest softening you keep up as long as you keep applying.

Animal and lab data Studied in animals and in the lab. Consistent results and a good safety record in people who use it, but not the same thing as a human trial.

Your dosing

0.4 mg · Twice a day, on clean skin

No titration. This one goes on the skin, not in a syringe — a small dab twice a day from day one.

That is 4 units on a U-100 insulin syringe — from a 10 mg vial mixed with 1 ml of water, which gives you 10 mg/ml (1%).

Add the water slowly down the inside of the glass and roll it — never shake it. Keep it in the fridge at 2–8 °C once mixed.

How it actually feels

Applied topically, so none of the injection-site issues apply.

How long you run it

How long: 8 weeks–12 weeks

Break: 4 weeks
