Mitochondria-targeting tetrapeptide (elamipretide) — cardiolipin binding
A recharge for your cells' power plants. SS-31 goes straight to the mitochondria to boost energy and cut the oxidative stress that leaves you drained.
SS-31 is a mitochondria specialist. It concentrates right inside your cells' power plants and helps stabilize the machinery that makes energy — which is why it's studied for fatigue and the kind of tiredness that comes from cells not making enough fuel.
Expect a gradual, stacking effect rather than a same-day lift: people most often notice better exercise recovery and mental endurance around the three-to-four-week mark, and many run it in cycles. Honest note: the mechanism is compelling and there are real human trials — but several key ones didn't hit their targets, so it's best thought of as promising and still investigational, not a sure thing.
Small human studies Studied in people, but in small groups rather than large trials.
4 mg · Every day, morning
Most people start straight at 4mg (24 units). If you would rather ease in, run 2mg (12 units) first — two, three or four weeks, whichever you want — then step up.
That is 24 units on a U-100 insulin syringe — from a 50 mg vial mixed with 3 ml of water, which gives you 16.67 mg/ml.
Add the water slowly down the inside of the glass and roll it — never shake it. Keep it in the fridge at 2–8 °C once mixed.
The same compound, aimed at different things, and they do not all land in the same place. The Protocol Builder will pick one for you if you would rather not choose.
